2022 program highlights

- The Society will take part in the Town of Waterford's annual Tree Lighting on Dec. 2 on Jordan Green. The Jordan Schoolhouse will be open to visitors. Come and make merry!

- Our monthly member meetings took place on the second Thursday evening of each month in 2022.  We'll resume them in February 2023.

- We always welcome new members! Our membership year began on July 1, 2022, but you can join anytime. Bring your enthusiasm and talents as you learn more about your Town's history, and consider serving on our Program Committee or become a guide to our historic buildings.

The 4th annual ART IN WATERFORD: Past + Present+ Future took place on August 6, 7 : featuring works by Waterford's renowned Roger Dennis, dubbed the "Dean of American Impressionism," 32 local present-day artists, and young artists of the future.

- The return of our "Second Saturday" programs occurred for the first time with living historians in our buildings and on the grounds:

"Common Threads: Fiber Arts in 1850s Waterford" on July 9, and "Hearth to Harvest: Autumn in 1850s Waterford" on September 10.

The Society also offers local history books for purchase: "The Granite Industry in Waterford" and "Collected Memories of Pleasure Beach." Order your copies here.
