Lightning Protection System restored on Beebe-Phillips House

November, 2022 - Waterford resident Jim Barnard of Northeast Lightning Protection LLC in Bloomfield, one of two Connecticut experts in the field of lightning protection installations, has done work at historic properties throughout the state. In the "habit" of looking at old properties and their systems, last fall Jim walked around the Beebe-Phillips House on Jordan Green and noted its system was broken, likely when a windstorm damaged the structure’s roof two years ago.

Jim contacted the Society, offered his time and expertise at no charge and installed an authentic, historically correct lightning protection system on Nov. 28.  The Day newspaper’s homepage featured an article about the restoration.

As a thank you,  Jim was given a free membership to the Waterford Historical Society.
